Tyler Friso is a Vancouver-based Japanese-Canadian 2D animator. She grew up in Japan and moved to Vancouver, completing her Bachelor’s Degree in 2D Animation at Emily Carr University. Tyler uses humor and often nonhuman characters to tell her stories through hand-drawn 2D digital animation. Her work has been included in collaborations such as the 2019 Emily Carr Anijam, 2018 Emily Carr Summer Animation Collaboration, and 2018 Worldwide 24 Hour Animation Challenge. Her passions lie in storyboarding and character animation. When she is not animating, she can be found making silly videos, voice acting, singing, and playing the piano.
